Just minutes to multiple beach access points. Â Great views of Havens Neck, ocean, and the night sky!
NOTES:
1. This home is designed for two adults (1-Queen Bed), but can accommodate a child (3rd person) in the upper level single bed.Â
2. Â The property has two Ring Security Cameras; one at the front door facing the driveway, and a second one at the rear door facing the entry stoop.
3. Bathroom has a bathtub with a hand wand, so be aware that this is not a typical tub/shower configuration.
4. The TV is connected to the internet and basic programming is available through the Roku streaming platform.
Quiet Time Rules:
We want you to have a wonderful time while visiting, but we also need to respect the rights of neighbors to have quiet time, so please remember to bring the noise inside between the hours of 10PM & 8AM. Thank you!
This is a detached, single-family home. Â Property is being rented as a "studio", so you have use of everything present, except the main and second floor bedrooms. Â There is a queen bed on the main floor and a sitting area that can be converted into a single bed on the 2nd floor. Â Â Make yourself at home!
The tiny town of Anchor Bay is sited 3 miles house of the home, and the slightly larger town of Gualala is another few miles south from there. Anchor Bay offers an old-fashioned village market that specializes in natural foods with a complete wine & beer emporium, and has a laundromat, if needed, as well.
We manage the home, but do not live on premises; however, we are close by if you need us, and we want your stay to be as memorable as possible, so please contact us if something needs attention, or can be improved to better your time with us. Â Take exploratory day trips to historic sites, towns, and/or the wine country! Â For some ideas on things to do, places to eat, and beach access and hiking along the coast, visit the Utopia By The Sea Vacation Rentals website!
As described by the Redwood Coast Chamber of Commerce: Â Anchor Bay (3.1 miles south of property), a small southern Mendocino County coastal village, lies in the heart of the "banana belt", because of it`s unique microclimate; a warm column of air from inland spills over the protective coastal mountains, making the area warmer, with less fog and wind, than the surrounding areas. In the striking photo to the right by West of One, note the fog bank that blankets the coast just north of the curve of Fish Rock Beach. Â The seclusion of this bay and Fish Rock Beach was enormously attractive to rumrunners during Prohibition. The long wind-protected white sand beach offers fishing, abalone and scuba diving, ocean kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding and skim boarding in season, sea lion and whale watching, beachcombing and tide pooling. Public access is through Anchor Bay Campground for a nominal access fee to use the beach or launch watercraft. Tent and RV camping is also available.
Welcome to rural California! Â There is one public transportation system available. For details on times and routes go to the Mendocino Transit Authority website.
